We recently visited Sokolovna in Vinohrady and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming — you can really feel the place has history and character. The staff were super friendly, greeted us with a smile, helped us navigate the menu, and even recommended the perfect beer to go with our meal. The food was delicious and the portions were generous — we had the pork knuckle and goulash, both cooked perfectly. The beer was outstanding: fresh, cold, and exactly what you’d expect from a great Czech pub. Service took a little while since the place was nearly full, but the friendly attitude and good vibes more than made up for it. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot to grab a meal, hang out with friends, and soak up some genuine Czech atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

This place is absolutely great! They serve the beer at the right temperature (very cold) and the food is fantastic. Their pork ribs are delicious, super soft, and the sauce is great; also, a portion is 800 grams! It is a very good portion of amazing food. The mixed sausages platter is also very good, they come witha goof amount of mustard, pickles and horseradish, excellent as a starter or to share over a beer. Their stews are excellent, I have tried the goulash and the pork stew, both of them with an amazing flavor, a good sized portion and amazing for cold weather. Ther tartar is also very good! The place is usually crowded after 7, but if you get there around 6 you can easily get a table. The place is comfortable and very beautiful. The staff is friendly (even to tourists like us) and the service is good (it can be just a bit slow when the place is full). As any pub, it is a bit noisy, but nothing to be annoyed at, you can still have a conversation without raising your voice. The music is mostly pop, but it is played at a very low volume, so you really have to focus in order to listen to it. Overall, this is a great place, amazing beer and food, great atmosphere and great service. Love it!

Traditional pub in a subtle retro style. Very good atmosphere. Very good beer and mega good food. I had trouble getting to the hotel because I was so stuffed.
